I can remember when I discovered certain bands and what a profound experience that was at the time. Do you have any stories about when you discovered your favorite bands?
I was probably 13 and listening to Chicago mostly, because I played the trumpet, and my uncle came to town to visit. He was 57 at the time, but he came to the house with three records (yeah, vinyl lol) - Van Halen I, Emerson Lake and Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery and another I can't remember. But he played ELP for me and it simply blew me away. I had never heard anything like it in the world and I was amazed. After that I was looking everywhere for new music. |
